Friends of the Lawrence Library
A non-profit organization whose purpose is to foster closer relations between the Library and the community; to promote awareness of the Library’s services and programs; and to raise funds for Library purchases.
The Friends’ funding comes primarily from membership, donations and fundraising. The largest fund raising events are the Octoberfest: Wine and Beer Tasting, the Annual Used Toy Sale and the Annual Used Book Sale. Both events are held during the spring for more information go to the Events page.
The Friends offer ample opportunity for community involvement. Chairing an activity, working on the Octoberfest, book sale, pricing toys for the Toy Yard Sale, or simply offering experience and ideas, are all wonderful ways to become involved.
